DopeMenu ("we," "us") is in early access. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the service you agree to this policy.
First of all, the internet has enough apps centered on growth and monetizing your data. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not run third-party advertising. The data we hold is what you give us and what's needed to run the app. We rely on a small number of third-party providers — for things like authentication, hosting, and email — and we share data with them only as needed to operate the service.
What we collect
Account information you provide (email, display name, username) and content you create in the app (recipes, meal plans, shopping lists, household membership). We also collect basic technical data needed to operate the service, such as request logs and device/browser information.
How we use it
We use your information to provide the service, keep your account secure, communicate with you about the product, and improve the app. We do not sell your data and we do not run third-party advertising.
Sharing
Content you add to a household is visible to other members of that household. We share data with service providers who help us operate the app (such as hosting, authentication, and email delivery), and only as needed for them to perform their work. We may disclose information if required by law.
Optional integrations
If you choose to connect a third-party AI tool (for example via MCP), data you send through that integration is governed by that provider's terms and privacy policy. These integrations are off by default.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated content at any time by contacting us; some records may be retained briefly for backups, security, or legal compliance.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar storage strictly for sign-in sessions and core functionality. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Children
The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email.
